U21 Hurling

posted 25 Sep 2012, 01:27 by Admin Clonmel Og
Our U21 hurlers enjoyed a good hour of hurling in Cloneen this morning in a challenge vs. St. Pats. We re-jigged in a few positions and the changes worked well. A cracking goal by Dean Kelleher, and some excellent point taking by Stevie O' Connell helped us into a one point lead at half (1.04 to 0.06). In the first three minutes of the second half we notched four unanswered points to take a firm g
rip on the game. Two goals midway through the half secured the win, but Pats finished the game strongly to cut the deficit to four at the final whistle. This was a very good game played in ideal conditions and all our men worked hard and played well. Special mention to Shane Fehilly who stood between the posts and was rock solid.
Final score: 3.12 to 1.11

Team: Shane Fehilly, Aidan Fox, Dean Horton, Eoin Fallon, Aaron Arrigan, Declan Bennett, Michael Lynch, Darragh Kearney, Marc Ahearne, Cian Hogan, Dean Kelleher, Eddie Power, Conor Arrigan, Stevie O' Connell, Paul Deady

We send our best wishes to the injured St. Pat's man that picked up a knock in a collision.

As the championship is still a few weeks away, we will be looking to arrange another game for next weekend. Management will be in touch during the week.
