3 Counties Cycle Challenge 2011

posted 16 May 2011, 06:22 by Admin Clonmel Og   [ updated 16 May 2011, 06:23 ]

The 2011 ISPCC 3 Counties Cycle Challenge takes place from Limerick to Killaloe and back via Clare Glens and Glenstal on June 26th. This route is 70Km and crosses through Limerick, Clare and Tipperary so we are looking for lots of participants from all three counties to get on their bikes and register to support our mentoring service for children and teenagers.  2Wheels will organise all of the logistics on the day.

The ISPCC’s mentoring programme provides positive role models and support to children and families nationwide. Due to increased demand, the ISPCC’s mentoring services are currently operating waiting lists in the Limerick area. Funds raised from the ISPCC Charity Cycle will allow the ISPCC to train more volunteers to work with vulnerable children and families who need our support.

The 2011 ISPCC Charity Cycle is not a race; people of all levels of fitness are encouraged to take part in a great, positive day out which will help countless children and young people.

There is a registration fee of €40 which includes a mini service, a cycle jersey and a food stop at picturesque Clare Glens! All participants who register before June 1st will go into a draw to win a €500 cycle shop voucher.

The ISPCC receives less than 10% government funding for their services. Participants in the cycle events are also encouraged to raise further funds through sponsorship for the ISPCC’s mentoring services.
